Over the past three weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to meet a multitude of individuals.
I’ve met…
…people who are homeless…
…people who sold their bodies to survive…
…people who lost their parents when they were four…
…people who have suffered divorce…
…people who were abused as children…
…people who sleep under bridges…
…people who used to be pastors and chess teachers but lost everything…
…people who deal drugs as their only source of income…
…people who are searching for more…
All of these people sound so different, but they share two things in common.
The first is that all of these people are just that. People. They are people with lives and families. They have a story, and they have dreams and visions. They aren’t just bodies. They are eternal souls dwelling temporarily on Earth. The are children of God. Precious and Beloved.
The second is that all of them need Jesus. And I can’t really explain it more than that. All of humanity desperately needs a savior, and that savior can only found in Christ Jesus.
As unique as we may be, we all are people with stories and people who desperately need Jesus.
